I think so, what else could it be? hopefully its still there tomorrow, this pic was from 3 days ago.. lots of mushroom, is freezing some even feasible?

I think it's called Chicken Of The Woods - great mushroom to have in scrambled eggs.
 
Sulphur Shelf, also called Chicken of the Woods. You can absolutely freeze this one with almost no change to the taste, you don't even have to par-boil it first, as you would want to with most other mushrooms. Get it fast; it's not a young specimen.

you've confirmed my thoughts, yes chicken of the woods! I'll go grab it in 1 hr., hopefully it's still there.. did more research online last night, hopefully when I cut it water runs out of it, that corresponds to taste and younger is better, prolly should've cut it last week when I saw it, oops..

Brambor- lets earn some turns next season a day or two together, eh? :)
 
Let's do that :) I haven't lusted for snow just yet but I will be ready when the first flakes start flying :)

taste like chicken

sauteed 2 batches, prolly ate more than I should've being a new food and all.. Just used butter salt and pepper, freezing 2+lbs. already cleaned and cooked..
