Lots of leaves to hide the mud, rocks and roots on all trails...many crossings on Bolles, but done easily with rock hops...nice sunrise over the summit mass once up to height of land...one section lower has a large amount of gravel washout but look ahead and a yellow blaze shows the way...and at old lumber campsite an arrow in tree directs to the left...some board bridges in kind of rough shape but served the purpose....Beeline was pretty good, small crossings and good footpath..Brook Trail has a couple of tougher, wet, slab scrambling and caution needed, went to the right side on the upper one and used friendly softwood branches to hold on to...once up near summit (Piper) ledges and rock were pretty dry and good footing...Champney Brook Trail was wetter than other trails until down low..a few blowdowns on all trails, couple climb over go under...also was able to tie in some loose ends on Bickford Trail (crossing needed to be waded), Old Paugus Trail to Whitin Brook jct, and Beeline Cutoff..Beeline on Paugus side still has massive blowdowns approaching Bee line Cutoff jct...this is the time of year to do this one, great views though the bare trees more or less!!
