12/19 -- Piper Trail
Trail was a little snowy, no ice. We encountered about 3/4 of a mile about 2/3 through without any tracks and had to blaze our way up to the junction off the next trail, where we found tracks. It was a gorgeous, clear day.
We didn't bring snowshoes, but they wouldn't have been useful for more than 15 minutes. Brought traction, but no need, even at the summit.
