Trails in good shape and bugs reduced from last week. Only bothersome when hands were firmly gripping handholds and balance was precarious. Cairn for herdpath is just past turn for shelter. The cairn specifically for Cliff was a bit farther than I expected, but turn off was obvious. There is a half of a wooden sign at the "true" summit as well as a marker labeled Cliff. 39 for me, 38 for my daughter.
