Great weather. Trails in good shape. Did a loop from the Loj. Came over Arnold Pass. The swamp just before Feldspar Brook is in rough shape. Expect a couple of extra minutes through here, but definately passable. Trails up both Cliff and Redfield were easy to follow and in good shape. Headed out through Avalanche Pass and back to the Loj.
Lots of people out. Beautiful weather. Good views from both peaks. Black flies were out in force on both summits. A good amount of mud, but that is expected this time of year in the Daks.
#43 for my hiking partner, 35 and 36 for me.
Recommended gear: Gators, poles, sunscreen, something to deal with the bugs.
