Went up Colden from Lake Arnold and down to Lake Colden and then up to Algonquin out Avalanche Pass and South Meadows Truck Trail. There is a blowdown above Lake Arnold on the trail that you have to go around but that's about it. Once the weather gets cold use caution as the upper ends of the trail up Lake Colden will have icing on the rocks making it a little tricky in spots. The trail up to Algonquin was in decent shape. South Meadows truck trail is in fine shape, Avalanche Pass is a little rough where Irene went through it in August and the Hitch-Up Matildas has a board or two missing but no problems overall.

Comments: Such a perfect day to be out hiking, the views were awesome and the new slide and the trap dike on Mount Colden seen from Algonquin summit is incredible. Click here for trip report and link to pics
