Well, I just got back from my annual hiking trip out west, and it was another good one. Instead of an all-backpacking affair, this time it was a little different.

VSA and I spent a week out in the high country of Colorado. It was a great week which included seeing by good friend Colorado Kid, mountain biking the Divide, touring old mines and ghost towns, backpacking the Maroon Bells Wilderness and hiking in the Indian Peaks Wilderness. If you are interested in the photos, you cal see them all here:

These photos aren't just great, they're inspiring. I can't believe there's still snow on the peaks around Loveland Pass this late in the season, with the poor snowpack and all. I bailed on a trip out there last month, and just looking at these photos has got me rescheduling for next month! Thanks Chomp!

Several years ago I did the Maroon Bells loop with Brenda, great memories of that hike. No digital camera back then, otherwise I'd have a thousand shots.

Wow Chomp, nice pics. I just returned from a Colorado trip and seeing your pics makes me want to go back! Snowmass lake is so beautiful...

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for all the kind responses. burg - I use a Canon Digital Elph. I forget the actual model number (S110 maybe?) but its a 2.1 MP camera. The current version is an s400 and is a 4.0 MP camera. Its very small, has a long-lasting battery and has just enough features.

The latest version is the S410, and its bigger sibling the S500.
