The lake road was just fine; encountered a bunny hopping along quickly! We took the Gill Brook Bypass up to Gill Brook, to Colvin to Blake, then back.
The rain from Friday had everything wet and slick, but the mud was mostly just splashy, not extremely deep, so gaiters would be useful. The rocky sections in the Colvin-Blake col were pretty slick. We had to jam boots and hands into the crevice on the steep tall rocky section to get any grip.
It didn't rain on Saturday, but we climbed up into the clouds for absolutely no views from Colvin. By afternoon on our way down, they had lifted over Noonmark and Giant, but still not over Colvin or Sawteeth. Beautiful foliage!
