March 17th
On Saturday March 17th after the last storm i hike with Pierre (Oncoman).
We went for the 3 Bonds from Lincoln Wood(start 5:00 am). I break trail in 6 to 8 inch of snow that was soft. We summit Bond Cliff at 10:45 and the wind was about 30-40 miles/hour and no snow, lots of Rocks. We continued and summit Bonds, and went until the trail for West Bonds. At 12:30 we summit West Bond and it was Pierre W48 this seasons and my W46. We returned to Bond and Bond Cliff at 2:15. Finish the hike before 6:00 pm.

March 18th
I solo hike Munroe and Eisenhower from Ammonoosc trail. I had to break
trail until the hut, no one past since Friday(Pierre). It was not too hard to
break the trail, during the night the snow had crust. At Lake of the Cloud hut
it was cold and windy (40-45 miles), the visibility was not very good (less than 100 feet). I decided to go for Munroe even if it was cold and windy
and I want to finish my W48. The trail for Munroe was icy and lots of Rocks.
I feel strange to hike in snowshoes in the Rocks. I summit Munroe and it was
cold and the West wind was bitting. I don't stop and continued in direction
for Franklin-Eisen... All the way it was cold and windy soo I don't take any
break. After about one long hour on the ridge I now see my last Peak. The
trail for Eisenhower was icy and the wind was cold. I summit Eisenhower and
back track til the junction for Edmands Path. I took Edmands Path to go down
and I find that trail hard on the legs. Lots of slide crossing and the snow was
crusty and a bit icy. At 12:30 I was at Clinton Road, after a short break I
walk in the road til the Cog road. At the junction of the Cog Road and Clinton
Road I let my pack and snowshoes on the side of the trail and went fast to
my van. Went I return at that junction with my van my pack and all my
winter gear was gone. Very sad way to end one great winter.

Thanks Pierre for all the peak we done together (31 on 48). :)

Rejean,

Congratulations on the Winter 48 completion. It seems that you had a couple very difficult days of hiking at the end. Well done!

Too bad on the final ending. Perhaps someone picked up your pack and turned it in to the AMC Highland Center. Its probably worth checking. Also, if Marshfield Station was still open perhaps your things may have been turned in there.

Good luck on getting your things back.

Earl

Congrats, Rejean. I hope that you will be at the Awards in April. I really look forward to meeting you.

Congrats, Rejean! It sounds like you earned your W48 this year!

Sorry to hear that your gear was taken. I hope it turns up. People in the mountains generally don't take other people's things, but it is always best to hide things a bit if you will be coming back for them, especially near a road. If I can help to retrieve your pack in any way, let me know.

Congrads Rejean on your winter 48! A great accomplishment with some severe cold/wind at the end. Nicely done!

Very sorry to hear about your gear. I was worried when I left my gear behind to hitch to my car recently. Luckily no problem. Maybe someone picked it up and left it somewhere thinking it was lost or fell off a car. Maybe try calling the mt washington inn or the WMNF ranger station.
