Congratulations Jay - NH48, Winter

Congratulations to Jay for finishing his NH48 in Winter on Mt. Carrigan, February 27 2005.

Jay was the only human I met all day on the trails (not even a snowmobile rider on Sawyer River Road; damn, I wanted a ride back to my car!). Had I met him a little closer to the summit I would have snapped his picture and posted it online. Even so, I hung around on Signal Ridge for a while, checking out to see if I could spot him on the summit tower but I did not.

We'll have to meet again for the re-enactment.

Is this Jay the Jaytrek I talked to on Moosilauke last fall? Is he going to the banquet?

No, this isn't Jaytrek -- I'm almost positive about this.

He didn't give me any indication that he was or was not going to the Banquet. I don't know. He seemed like a nice guy though. I should have gone back to the summit to take his picture but I knew I was running late already. I may see if he's interested in a re-enactment. We could do it in front of a blue-screen and then I could superimpose the picture onto something from the Carrigan Summit, like a sign or something.
