On Jan 16-18 I finished the NY section of the trail with a backpacking partner found through this forum. We ended at Bull's Bridge, about 5 miles into Connecticut. I'd like to continue North from there in Jan or Feb.
I tend to be free to hike Sunday through Tuesday. I might be able to start hiking on a Saturday evening.
We could do it either as day hikes, or as a backpacking trip. The thing is to have 2 cars. Doing it as 3 day hikes could enable us to do most or all of the remaining 50 miles to the Mass. line. That's if the knees can average 17 miles/day over 3 days.
It's the most wonderful time of the year to do this section: NO DEER TICKS!
