Corey's Road and Skylight Brook advice

A friend and I are heading up to the Dacks for a week this friday. If anyone knows if Corey's Road is open to the trailhead yet, I would appreciate the info. Also, is there any chance of crossing Skylight Brook if we do an attempt at Allen. We are willing to be adventurous, but would rather not die!
