What a blast! Fresh snow made finding the trail really fun. We lost it in a couple spots but were able to get back on track quickly enough. When people say you have to descend to Couchee I had no idea there was so much up and down! Was nice though because you could see the peak on approach in a couple of spots.

When we got to the summit it was fairly clear and could see the Sewards which was pretty satisfying as they were the peaks we climbed last time down.

By the time we got back to Times Square from Couchee we decided to hike out. Probably could have done Panther but the hike from the lean-to back to the car was in the dark as it was. Didn't really matter because we all agreed we were coming back very soon for Panther and Santanoni.

The snow was awesome hiking in, Sunday's warm weather made it a swamp coming out. Very thankfuly I left dry clothes in the car!

I'd bet it's pretty icy today with all the melting yesteray and the freeze last night.

Good Times!

You're gonna kick yourself... Panther's summit is a 10-minute hike from Times Square.

I know that. But I still need to do Santanoni too.

I wanted to get back to the lean-to before dark so I'd only have the hike out left without the sun. I got back home around midnight as it was. If Panther was the only one up there I needed I would have pushed it.
