Want to get out this weekend but do not want to travel to far north. Crane mnt is within 2 hours drive. Is this road plowed in the winter. I know it is not the best of shape in the summer.

Sometimes. You may have to walk the last mile or so. one winter it was when I went up and the last time which was last winter it was not.
