Trail Conditions: Quite dry in most places,,a nice carpet of pine needles for long stretches..Switchbacks up to Livermore a delight..Several muddy stretches from Webster to the junction with Mt Morgan trail with also an occaisional patch of snow.. Several blowdowns..we moved some but more work remains..brook crossings all easy
Equipment: nothing special really..sunscreen on the ridge where the leaves haven't quite filled in..poles a help in places...felt like a summer hike today though there were a few bugs about
Comments..Fine relaxed pace May hike along a great section of trail..carefully graded with excellent footing throughout..the views were many..mainly towards Squam and the Ossipees with occasional shots to the west..a little hazy and more so as the day went on..I enjoyed the day with the OTHH group...
