trails: mt. crescent trail, crescent ridge trail
conditions: parking for a couple cars at the trailhead on randolph hill road and room to pull more off on the other side of the road. trails were in nice shape. a bit damp with leaves starting to cover the trail down low. some slippery footing higher up, but not a problem with a bit of care. highpoint of the peak is a short distance off of the trail. we found an uplifted rock with signs of other visitors that felt good to us.
equipment: nothing in particular.
comments: a great peak. my first time up there and i really enjoyed it. good walking down low and awesome viewpoints. the southern view to the northern presidentials was great, but equally nice was the north view to kilkenny ridge, pliny, black crescent and more distant peaks. great afternoon hike. thanks to mark for a good day.
