Figured this would be snow free. Not quite. Substantial patches above 2900', especially between South and North views. Enough to posthole knee-deep a few times, but nothing slippery or dangerous. A fair number of blowdown, the worst being in the first .1m from Randolph Hill Rd. No bugs or streams. Plenty of trout lilies and spring beauties, and a few trilliums just opening.
Equipment needed: poles and gaiters useful (I had low gaiters, which were enough). Nothing really necessary. Traction aids will stay in the pack.
