Current reports on snow depths in different areas of Whites??

I'm planning to hike Sandwich Mountain tomorrow with a group of 5 or 6. We expect to break trail even if others have been through as TR's indicate blowing snow. I'm wondering in particular about snow depths in Waterville Valley area with a view to deciding whether to bring my 25" or 30" snowshoes. Of course if this develops into a thread reporting snow depths in and around the Whites in general that's a good thing too.

I'm just 6 miles away from WV and I have around 14 to 16 inches at the house. I did see three cars in the trailhead parking lot after I skied today so I suspect that the trail will be broken. I have found that my 30" snowshoes are a tad too big for smaller trails that I am climbing, rather than a wide open logging road. Therefore, I would take the 25". Of course you could take both and leave one pair in the car after checking out the conditions.

Definetly bring the larger ones. There is 2-4 feet of powder snow in the mountains depending on where you go. Sandwhich probably has almost 3 feet because of reports by Waterville Valley. -Mattl

There is a trail condition report for the Mount Tecumseh Trail that mentions 1-2 feet of snow and some deeper drifting near the top.

Does anybody have information concerning Franconia Notch trails? I'm particularly interested in Liberty Springs, Franconia Ridge, and Flume Slide.

It looks like tomorrow is going to be a Flume - Liberty day.
