I can remember a year or so reading an add in the Adirondack Explorer that there was a small shop that custom made hiking molds of your feet. Maybe ADKEDITOR (Phil Brown) will chime in on this thread. I am pretty sure he is a member here :)

Thanks for the help!

Adam

The ad was from Gary Barlow, a boot maker in western New York. I don't know if he has a Web site. A quick google did not turn one up.

My friend Mike Virtanen recently wrote an article about hiking boots that mentioned some other custom boot makers. Pete Fish, the retired High Peaks ranger, loves his Limmer boots, made in N.H. The article also mentions Charles Van Gorken, a boot maker in British Columbia.

Thanks Phil! I knew about the Limmer but I thought I could keep the business local in the ADK and help support the local economy :) I tried the google search as well and came up with nada except for the Limmer.

Thanks again,
Adam
