We never drove the CVR before it was fixed, so Saturday was the time. We followed it to other logging roads that brought us at the base of Redington pond range middle peak. With the recent rain, some sections were really wet, we nearly made it without getting some water in our boots. We got some rain and fog, but nothing too bad. Just when we reached the ledges near the summit, the fog cleared up and we got a really nice view of the valley (from Sugarloaf to Lone). We went down towards Redington pond south on open terrain (I guess that part burned some time ago). We didn't meet any SEAL patrol . We were surprised that so few people have put an entry in both canisters. Going back to CVR, we hit some thick spots.
Sunday we drove Carriage rd. to get to Little Bigelow. The road is not is bad shape, but not fun to drive with a low-clearance car. I'm not sure where is exactly the true summit, is there a canister hidden near the trail ?
