Date of Hike: 09-AUG-08
Trail Conditions: In a word, wet. There were a number of good-sized blowdowns on both the Osseo and Bondcliff trails, but the AT was mostly clear. Although everything was wet, the lower half of the Bondcliff trail was essentially one gigantic mudhole. The wilderness trail is in decent shape and is definitely joggable except for in a few spots that warrant more careful footing.
Special Equipment Required: Poles came in handy several times. I wore trailrunners and had damp feet for most of the day. If you want to stay dry, waders might be your only hope
Comments: Spectacular afternoon views from the Bonds certainly made up for a rainy morning on the ridge. Pics & notes at http://tinyurl.com/6x2k46.
