Showa is the brand, as mentioned upthread.

I get mine at Go2Marine: https://www.go2marine.com/showa-282-temres-gloves
Thanks. Missed the reference where ever it was upthread. This was the model he recommended on his blog: https://andrewskurka.com/review-showa-281-gloves-temres/. The 282 TCD mentioned he also likes for cold weather.

He was getting at Seattle Marine And Fishing at time of article. They look to be in stock, on sale and widely available at the moment if anyone is looking to take the plunge.

Guess I’ll have to give it a try then. Can you recommend a particular brand? How wet do the liners get when your hands perspire? How do you dry them out?
The over mitt or the waterproof gloves? As TCD referenced SHOWA was the brand I was thinking of but I do not have any direct experience with it. Seal Skinz is the brand I have tried. I have an issue with the fit/thickness. Unless they are oversized they are kind of a pain to take off.

On the over mitt I use the Outdoor Research Revel Over mitts. I would recommend. They fit over most of my other gloves and mittens.

I’ve used OR Overmitts for decades but have not tried the SHOWA. I think I may try the unlined version with my own liners in order to have the flexibility to swap out a fresh liner. Thanks for the info.

Andrew Skurka highly recommends a brand of glove like this whose brand I also can't recall. I think it was SHOWA (I had it bookmarked at one point but availability was on and off and I never purchased. This was awhile ago. May be different now).

I've tried a variety of water proof gloves from Seal Skinz, ice climbing gloves from BD on clearance, and others and I just find them too thick. I find almost all tasks are just too big of a pain in the ass for any thick glove or mitten and I'm taking off whatever I'm wearing anyway to do stuff. Over the past few years I've transitioned to mittens with a thin liner glove underneath. Way warmer and there easier to take on and off.
I checked with my friend. It was indeed SHOWA. 282-02.

Dang, they really aren't all that expensive.
