I hadn't hiked Welch & Dickey since 2001 so I thought a visit was way overdue. I'm glad I made the visit. I had climbed W&D probably a dozen times over the years and had forgotten how wonderful these two peaks are.

A mini-cairn with a strong foundation with the Tripyramid's in the background.

I've always wondered why this cairn, in the col between Welch and Dickey, is so big?

View north of the Kinsmans, Canon, and Franconia Ridge. Little did I know at the time, but I would be hiking that rocky peak in the foreground the next day. That's Fisher Mountain.

Another great day on two spectacular peaks.

You've got some really nice photos, thanks for sharing. Welch-Dickey has been a local favorite for about ten years now. We had been hiking it once in the spring and once in the fall every year until this year. Thanks for the fix.

That lunar landscape is terrific, very unique as these hiking photos go.
