Death on Whiteface (Skiing)

A somewhat local guy to me (Morristown) dies Monday afternoon on Whiteface Mtn

Must of been really icy, all the trails were pretty icy on monday..

Very Tragic and Sad. Whiteface is going to start being known as "Death Mountain," as unfortunately there has been several deaths over the past couple of years on the slopes.

That's too bad. Whiteface has had many fatal ski accidents over the years. That's where I learned to ski and have enjoyed its slopes many, many times. But it does get nastily icy at times. It's not called "Iceface" for nothing. Condolences to the family.

That's so sad! My condolences to the family. I wonder if he was wearing a helmet?

When I was stationed in Plattsburgh back in the early "80's I skiied at Whiteface a lot. I definately earns the nickname "Iceface".
