Deer Hill via Deer Hill Trail
Date of Hike: Sunday, August 3, 2008
Trail Conditions: Dry trail, wet trail, pooled water
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments:
Initial attempt via Baldface Circle parking lot had to be aborted, as the river crossing was too high (the dam has alternating concrete stepping slabs across it, and the water was rushing 6" above the slabs).
Second attempt via Deer Hill Road trailhead. Trail up to first view ledges slight bit wet, but not bad. Ledgy areas up high a bit slippery. Portion of trail between false summit and second view ledge had some pooled water (can get around though).
A few skeeters, and a few pesky deer flies (Deer Fly Hill?).
