Went in through Lake Road, the first 1/4 mile a liitle icy, then decent powder on road. The Leach trail had 1" of powder over hard packed snow with a few open water areas on Noonmarks shoulder. The rest of the trail had 3-4" of new snow over hard packed snow. Stream crossings were manageable
Used stalibicers until Bear Den then snowshoes with decent cramponsfor rest of trip, my son used crampons until Nippletop and then his MSR snowshoes the rest of the way.
Real nice hike no views again 2 more off the winter list
