The weather was warm with a little rain off and on. The snow was wet and will freeze hard when cold weather returns. The ascent was via the lake road and Leach Trail. We used snowshoes the entire trip. There were a few icy sections shortly before the Noonmark shoulder which we were able to navigate with our snowshoes. No problems following the trail all the way to the summit. There was no evidence of anyone continuing toward Nippletop.
