Don't have a hiking dog? How 'bout a cat?

Interesting thread. We just got kitten, my first pet ever, and I've been wondering if he'll take to the outdoors, especially because he'll be raised as a house cat. Right now, at 9 weeks old, he's afraid of everything.

My vote for coolest cat name EVER! Only those that venture off of the superhighways of the White Dot/Cross trails at Mt. Monadnock will know this reference.

He had to have a Monadnock name, since while working at the booth there, a hiker from Hillsboro drove up with paw prints on his truck. Long story short- I was at his house picking up a kitten the next day.

Tried to figure out a short version of his name for daily use, no luck. Muncy Trail leads up to Kiasticiticus rock and has always been a favorite.

It's hard to imagine my cats doing ANYTHING they didn't think of themselves.
And I do know there are plenty of animals out there just waiting for a chance to make a lunch of them.
