Duck Pond and the Environs
Date Hiked: February 03, 2008
Conditions: The trails and carriageways are in good shape – the Carriageway’s where icy but they could be done with out crampons or snowshoes.
Special Required Equipment: Camera, $9 per person visitor's fee, water, food, map.
Comments:
Round trip of about 4 miles. It was basically clear with no wind, perfect for photographing several woodland carriageways.
Started at Pine Road. Hiked to Duck Pond views of the ridge and the tower. Started hiking up Duck Pond Carriageway to the junction of Forest Drive and Klene Kill. Hike down the Lenape Lane to Pine Road
There were great views of farmlands of the Wallkill River valley on the left.
