Eagle From Seager 11/29/08

Up with seven from NJSAR's Mountain Rescue Unit, 15 inches of fresh snow on the mountain, we broke trail to the summit in 29 Degree temps with cloudy skies and some flurries. There was some blowdown across the trail on seager brook and again at 3480 just before the summit requiring us to crawl through. No ice was present but snow shoes are oviously required. The stream crossings were not a problem. The Leantoo was in great shape and no trash was evident and the spring was running well.Some hunters were in the woods though so Orange is recomended. Another great day in the Cats !
