I have 13 early issues of "Backpacker" magazine from the mid 1970's that I've had for 40-odd years, and rather than throw them in the recycle, I'd prefer to get them into the hands of someone who might find them interesting.

They are in pretty good shape, they have been obviously read a few times, issues #13-#22 were mailed to me and if you look closely, you can see the remnant of where they were folded to fit into my mailbox, but otherwise, they have spent most of the last 40-odd years flat in a plastic library case.

I looked on eBay, and they seem to go for $7-$10 per issue there. I don't need that, but I'd like to get a couple bucks per issue. But feel free to make an offer - as I say, I'd mostly like to get them into the hands of someone interested in having a look at what was going on in the mid-70's. Some of the advertisements are as fascinating as the articles.

Each issue has a theme. Following is a list of the issues I have, the nominal publishing date, and the issue theme:

If interested, send me a PM with the issue(s) you are interested in. If you are in NW CT, or will be in the area, easiest and cheapest thing is to swing by the house and pick them up (and I'd get to meet a fellow VFTTer!), otherwise, you'd need to pay for shipping - the USPS says $4.61 per issue - I'd put the issue in a gallon Ziplock Bag to protect it, and then into a large flat envelope for mailing. If you have a better (cheaper) way, let me know.
