West and East Baldpate via the AT from the north end of Grafton Notch.

Trail Conditions: It had poured the night prior, and the day was foggy, so the trail was very wet with minor mud. The final half mile or so ascent up to East Baldpate was over very steep and smooth rock surfaces. While we were able to fin enough "traction," this section could be treacherous when very wet or when covered with glazed ice.
Comments: I was surprised by the alpine splendor of the summits.... much more beautiful that imagined or predicted.
