Trail Conditions: The East Royce Trail is in fabulous condition. It’s well brushed out and the water bars are cleaned to perfection. Kudos to the trail maintainer(s)!!
P.S. I know it’s much easier said than done, but (for the benefit of inexperienced hikers) maybe something could be done to better define the trail corridor on some of the longer stretches of bare rock-slabs on the upper portions of the trail. Since blazing on rocks is now strongly discouraged, perhaps something like strategically placed cairns might be an option?
