Date of Hike: Oct 23
Trail Conditions: Little bit of everything - standard fall conditions to start, snow in the trees at 2700', snow on the trail @ 4000' and higher. 2" on last mile or so with some good drifts here and there.
Special Equipment Required: Poles helpful, traction (stabilicers, microspikes, etc) strongly recommended over 4200 or so. We didn't bring any and wished we had. Can be barebooted, but it's a little icy in spots.
Comments: Beautiful day, cool and a great day to get out and see some of the first good snow. Hardly any wind, downright balmy in the sun. Photos at:
