Preface:Jerusalem trail is closed till memorial day!
Jerusalem tr./Long tr.-Slight mud till 1mile,then slush light snow, with increasing melting snow till ridge where there was 1-3 feet of badly post holed
L..T. to Sugarbush[take right to summit 400 feet]Was only on ski trail 20 minutes max.No one seemed to care this St. Pattis day on Sugarbush, people in shorts and t-shirts.Warm as heck today

equipment- Snow shoes after a mile all the way to summit.Brought Crampons which were not needed.Only one iced up spot on J.T. right before L.T.
easily navigated around.

comments:Fantastic day in Vermont. When I got back to trailhead, Signs were up for trail closure till Memorial day.Welcome mud season!
Makes sense to respect landowner, thanks for letting us access the ridge
most of the year.Talked to private logging road maintainers, they said "Trail is closed".Nice guys,we talked about what kind of trees they
had on the plot and their logging goals of selective cutting.I followed a group of 6-8 college kids, none with snow shoes.Long trail if not
with such soft snow would have been dangerous with numerous 2-3 feet deep post holes. When I passed the kids at Sugarbush, they had
turned around about 300 feet from summit. I do not know if Sugarbush made them get off the trail without flotation devices on their feet.
