Hike up Emily Proctor, along LT north, and down Cooley Glen Trail. The Emily Procter and Cooley Glen trails are in perfect shape. It's easier hiking in wilderness areas in the spring before it all brushes out. Both trails are completely clear.
The LT between the Proctor shelter and the Cooley Glen Shelter has a good number of blowdowns, including seven or eight significant, brushy falls filling the path for a few to a dozen feet. In some of these, herd paths are developing.
Great day to be hiking on Sunday - a good breeze kept the bugs at bay.
