When I last hiked this mountain I had parked at Equinox Inn. This time I drove past it, took the first right onto Taconic Rd, and at the end took a right onto Prospect. Take a left onto Union and there's a nice parking area at the trailhead. Equinox looks to get tons of activity, packed trail was 5 feet wide until the trail narrowed at about 3000 feet (snowshoes definitely not needed). Saw a few hikers out on this weekday, was surprised at how often it appears to be hiked. Only a couple blowdowns up high, nice easy trail to follow. Quite windy up at the top, didn't linger long in just my baselayer. Very quick hike, 2h20m. Probably could have tagged Dorset or something else nearby but pizza in Amherst was calling my name rather loudly instead.
