Went up from the atmospheric science center. It was cool to see the old anchors from the t-bar lift from the old Marble Mountain ski area. The trail was marked at the beginning with an orange cone and there is a sign at the top off the Wilmington Resevoir trail. Easy to follow.
Conditions were very good. Very little mud, which made up for the hot, hot weather. Only saw two other hikers. HP over to Esther has a couple of mud pits, but nothing that could not easily be negotiated. Bugs swarmed on the summit so did not stay for very long. Made it up and down in the morning. Whiteface was in an out of the clouds for much of the morning.
Esther was #44 for my brother, repeat for me.
