Date of Hike: 9/13/2008
Trail Conditions: Trail up Whiteface was in great condition, a little mud on Esther herdpath.
Special Equipment Required: None
Comments: Mostly gray day. We planned to get to the top of Whiteface later in the day to avoid the throngs that drive up. Arrived at the summit just after 5:00 PM as the last two people were walking down to the castle. The clouds broke up just as we got out on the open rock after leaving the road and had some excellent views.
