From the atmospheric science center. Minimal snow down low, just a dusting in spots. Increased to a couple inches by the top. Warm temps and rain turned much of it into slush by the return trip. Herdpath to Esther no problem and trail overall no problem at all. Microspikes would be helpful but all 3 of us barebooted the entire day with little to no issue. May change if all the water that flew today freezes especially on the way down. Regardless, interesting way to kick of "winter" hiking.
