Trail Conditions: Deep snow but well packed. A few holes where water flows through trail. Snow bridges began to fall apart in the afternoon.
Special Equipment: Snowshoes and poles very useful but the wet snow was clumping up under foot.
Comments: This is a pleasant trail I'd been wanting to try for years. We hike to the height of land and then returned to the parking lot along the Kanc. We were amazed to not see any animal tracks or hear any birds, but did spot some snowfleas jumping about in the hole from a pole. We were glad not to hear any snowmobiles. Only saw two others and their dog heading in as we were near the parking lot.
