Date of Hike: Saturday 12/12 - Sunday 12/13
Trail Conditions: we encountered unbroken powder from the car to the shelter. Just a few blowdowns until the jct. w/the Willy Range Trail. After that, the snow was deeper and blowdowns more frequent. The trail is now well packed to the Ethan Pond Shelter, by us and one other group, but snowshoes are still recommended.
Special Equipment Required: snowshoes, poles.
Comments: an excellent one-night backpack. My first visit to Ethan Pond. It was a cold night but we had the gear to stay toasty. Thanks to Phil and Andi.
