feel free to critique. the conditions weren't ideal and taking pics was not of primary importance, but I like a few I took;

Sunrise on the way to the summit cone

Chip, these are all very good expedition photos. A good variety of interesting subjects within the set. Good placement of people in the photos. Very dramatic and sweeping compositions.

The first image might have worked better as a vertical, but other than that there is not much I would fault. Despite having one of the 4 climbers out of stride, the repeated motion of the 4 is quite nice. Also the blowing snow in the distance is quite effective. I don't mind the minor overlaps of climbers in any of the photos. The light in the second photo makes for an interesting picture. I like all of the photos.

Nice set of photos grabbed while climbing.

The inveterate cropping tinkerer says, ... Number 2 might benefit from taking a little off the top of the frame, to emphasize the rock and snow; number 3 might benefit from cropping a little off the bottom to emphasize the challenge of what lies ahead.

The last shot -- sunrise -- is a wonderful example of how flash fill can perk up desirable detail in the foreground. (I also like the snowflakes in the air.) Cropping a bit off the bottom -- nearly to the bottom of the seated climbers -- would make the flash's effect seem less obvious and artificial.

Thanks for sharing these.

G.
