Date of Hike: Mon. 12-14-09
Trails: Avalon, Willey Range, AZ, Tom Spur.
There was about 3 to 4 inches of fresh powder today. Stream crossings are almost bridged over completely. The previously tracked trail on Willey Range and Tom Spur were completely filled in and drifted over.
Used snowshoes all day. Other traction not needed.
Cut up one ugly blowdown which had fallen overnight on the AZ trail. It would have been difficult to get around. A few other ones but no problem.
A good day with mild temps and no wind. Had the trail to myself today, although there were tracks heading up to Willard.
Depot lot not plowed. I parked at the Highland Center.
