Goal to head up the Flume slide trail to the summit, then over to Liberty and down the Liberty Springs trail.
Early in the morning the Flume trail was pretty solid, not many post holes, would have been slow going with snow shoes due to the trail condition. When you get to the first major stream crossing the snow bridge collapsed.
On the other side of the stream the blue blazes disappear. You will see folks have walked all over the place looking for them and ways to cross the stream again. No snow bridge, water 2 ft plus deep.
Turned around, as we came out the snow had softened up and made for slow going. Temps were in the mid 30's.
Overall a good day to be outside.
