Trails: We went up Pine Bend, tagged Scaur, the Tripyramids, and then headed down Sabbaday Brk Trail (SBT) to B/W to the Fool Killer.
Trail Conditions: Wet/slipppery on trails.
Equipment: rain gear, sense of humor, and lots of optimism
Comments: Misty/rainy day with no views. Fool Killer bushwhack comments: our best information was to look for the arrow on the tree (around 2700'?) and then take the slide up (from the southwest). The slide disappeared quickly and we found thick spruce (nasty!) and made NO time. It took us an hour to get the summit from SBT! From the summit (there WAS a canister), we decided to change course and descended approx west thru mostly open woods to SBT in 20 minutes or so.
Also, we did not find a canister on Scaur Peak.
The lower river crossings on SBT were tough, requiring stepping on submerged rocks. Up until that point my feet had been the ONLY dry parts of me! But still, it was a good day to be outside. Thanks, Eric! 2 more grid peaks and 2 new NHHH down!
