For this weekend & usually November too, I'll wear a snowshoe & crampon compatible boot. I'll also have a pair of teva's in the car.

The planned route selection will avoid stream crossings until the last mile where I'll likely have a "don't care" mentality crossing the streams. Since I may hike someplace else later, i'll have a spare pair of boots in the car too.

By starting early in the AM, it shouldn't be that warm down low & since I'll go straight through teh stream late, being too warm late shouldn't be an issue either.... :rolleyes:
