Well its that time of year again and the croo (Hans, AndyW, Hawk and I) are headed back to 'Sowdy Field for a few nights (Feb 21-24) of winter adventure. The plan is to go for Fort Mountain - again and though there looks to be a goodly amount of snow in the forecast 'tween now and then, we're mentally stoking ourselves for the inevitable waist deep wallow-fest that was the highlight of last year's epic. Granted we did help to literally 'pave the way' for Onestep & Co. but we are determined to make this 'Our Year' that we summit it in winter.
btw I'd gladly offer up a mini-keg of Freeport's finest brew for a crew to pack that out for us this weekend.
Does anyone know the group that will be there this weekend? (Feb 15-18)
As always, and even though there could be as much snow if not more out ahead of us, we'll be all smiles at the end of the day.
