FOUND: Prescription glasses at Nye Summit 3/17/12 (also conditions for Street & Nye)
I found a pair of glasses right at Nye's summit -- they have 'transitions' lenses and are in good condition. They could have been exposed by melting snow, but given their position & condition, it seems like someone dropped them recently. Please contact me at jamenna at yahoo dot com.
Indian Pass Brook was passable, but swift and cold. I brought old sneakers with me and changed for the crossing. Before the brook & for about a mile after, the trail is mostly mud. After than, the rest of the hike was a judgment call between microspikes and snowshoes. The snow was soft and deep near the summits, so snowshoes were the best call at that point.
