Date Hiked: 03-Apr-2008
Conditions: On the day of the hike, there was still plenty of snow on the trail. The snowpack was well consolidated. It was firm and a bit icy on the outbound trek, but rising temperatures had softened it considerably for the return trek.
Special Equipment: Definitely bare-bootable, but wore Stablicers for some added traction (especially for the outbound trek when there was some ice).
Comments: Seemed like a good day to get some photos of early Spring runoff in a beautiful setting.
Photos taken today are located HERE.
Also, just as a footnote, there was evidence of recent traffic on both the Osseo and Black Pond Trails.
